This session was a case study workshop covering four scenarios.

The first scenario was presented as a role-play by a team of home care service coordinators from サン介護センター.

The skit depicted a service user who was dissatisfied with a shopping errand because the helper had not asked for details such as the preferred brand and product size.
Participants split into groups to share their views and identify the issues.
The remaining scenarios were covered through a lecture and explanations by the instructor.
Case 2: A helper bought an over-the-counter medicine at a pharmacy at a service user’s request, but the service user became unwell after taking it.
Case 3: A new home helper was asked to perform tasks not covered by long-term care insurance and felt unable to refuse.
Case 4: A helper agreed directly with a service user to provide additional care at their request.
The instructor explained each case and emphasized the importance of reporting, communication, and consultation.
We also included an abuse prevention checklist in the training materials for each participant to complete individually.

After the training, we held a social gathering where everyone enjoyed a meal and the opportunity to get to know one another better.
